Finally, I got my hands on Peter Bracke's book, "Crystal Lake Memories," today and brought it home to stay. All I can say is WOW!!!! Just an incredible wealth of information on everything from actor and director interviews to the index at the back of the book, which lists every film's budget and its take at the BO.
Lots of tremendous pictures that I've never seen before. I've only glanced through it so far and can tell it's going to be one monster of a read. And thank God for that.
Even though I haven't delved deep into it yet, I have no doubt this will be the definitive "Friday" encyclopedia for years to come. I'm sure if New Line does another Jason movie, and I have no doubt they will eventually, Peter will have to put out a new edition with additional chapters for subsequent sequels.
Folks, if you consider yourselves true "Friday" fans you can't afford to not have this book. Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy today.
P.S. Wendago, can't wait to read the "Jason X" section. Saw your quote: "It's hard to come up with original ways to kill people, because what hasn't already been done in a "Friday the 13th" movie? So we wanted to put little twists in ours, to give the audiences something they hadn't seen before."
Believe me, it didn't go unnoticed. Loved "Jason X" and the deaths, especially the liquid nitrogen. That was one of my faves.
Stay well, and I'll talk to you later.
Cheers,
Brian
