TF,
You were correct on the Jason thing, New Line and Crystal Lake both will not even read unsolicited material for the Friday series. But, with your advice I have "Stolen" my own material and with just a few story changes now have an "Original". I think it will be welcomed in the industry, I used something that we all know and made a killer based on 3 simple words.
But here is a new question, should the new script be read, optioned or sold and the powers that be like my work, if they ask for any other works I have would it be appropriate to show the "Friday" script?
Thaks for your straight advice. It kept me from becomming dishearted at the result and drove me to greater things.
Thanks again!

PS. After reading my Friday script, my agent deemed me "Creatively Destructive" in a good way for a Horror writer!
For the love of all things holy, don't hand someone your Jason script as a sample.

First off, they can't sell it or make money of of it and at the end of the day that's what they are really looking for.

Second, it doesn't serve as a good writing sample because it only showcases half of what you can do. The tone, characters and mythology were created by someone else.

Third, it's a Friday the 13th script!

If I were you I'd start that next script fast. Because they will ask. Take Kevin Williamson for an example. When Scream went he was sitting on half a dozen other scripts. Good or bad, they all sold and he drives a Mercedes.
Revelation bows to the master!!!
Off to Dramatica I go!!!
Good man. I look forward to paying to see your future flicks.

And on Dramatica Pro, I did get it from my wife, as a TOOL, it is great, helps keep every aspect of a story idea flowing as well as helping develop charactures and the relationships with others. I give it a great big "Machete Up" as a tool.
Alot beleive Dramatica "writes" for you which is untrue. It makes you think even more about your story, when completed you have an intimate feel of what is happening and the flow of the story.
