Mozilla released Firefox 0.9.1 to address many of the small issues plaguing users of Firefox 0.9. Is it any better? I have no idea, I'm on a dialup so I'm still waiting for it.

Ok, I'm in. So far so good. However, they didn't go backwards on the gif rendering because the links are still dancing like Elaine on Sienfeld. But I'll check it out otherwise.
And I'm thinking it's time to buy a T-shirt from the little fellas.
I got this browser (the new one) since reading about it in TF's Journal. I figured if it rated being mentioned in his rant, it had to be good. And it is -- I feel like I got a whole new computer and laugh every time another pop-up gets blocked. Muhwahahaha.
Thanks for the tip.
Well, you should thank Devin. I'd tried Mozilla over a year ago and didn't like it one bit. Then Devin suggested I try the Firefox release and I've been hooked ever since. I'll never go back to IE.
I've hated Internet Explorer for quite awhile and was a militant Opera user until Firefox. Firefox is everything I need and want in a browser. Weehoo firefox yay!

Well, I've used 0.9.1 for a week now and I don't find any of the glitches I saw in 0.9.
The only oddities are the gifs. They still strobe too fast.
And inconsistantly I will go to Wendago's home page, click on message board and it will open in a new window rather than replacing the Wendago home page.
I hate computer inconsistancy. 1+1=2 and you'd think a computer would never get that wrong. Ain't so.
Firefox 1.0's out and the GIFs are still spastic.
This release had me at "hello" (or "tabs," whichever). Reminds me of the good ol' days of riding Netscape 4.7 until the wheels fell off.
Yeah, the gifs are still wonky, but it's just so much faster than IE. Worst case scenario, Firefox's existence will force IE into a better program.
I guess the thing to do to get proper GIFs in Firefox is to test 'em in it. Something about a difference in framerate or something which causes the problem. Apparently Firefox displays at true speed whereas Internet Exploder displays them slowed down. While that's all fine and dandy for the sake of standards compliancy, I wish there were a plugin available or some magic setting you could change that would render GIFs the IE way.

Oh well, Firefox still blows all other browsers out of the water - even with this minor problem.

I think IE has a cap on how fast a GIF will animate. The frame delay is only .02 seconds, which is essentially "as fast as possible". Have Olga set them to .08 or .1 and it should look good in both.

I second that motion! I don't really know too much about GIFs but that sounds right - from what I've figured out by playing with Animation Shop. Sounds like a pretty quick fix for Olga.
