Apparently it's NOT from the Spielberg War of the Worlds, but it still looks cool (if unfaithful).
My problem with resizing is not that I can't change the size of images, but that I can't upload images. The image function asks me to link to an image url. I guess I could workaround this by posting a resized image to another board that allows uploading and then link to there from here, but--
Is there a way to upload here?
Thanks Devin

The best way to upload images for posting on this board (and others) would be to use an image hosting service like Photobucket, ImageMagician, or Village Photos. The links are http://photobucket.com/ , http://www.imagemagician.com/ , and http://www.villagephotos.com/ respectively. Hope that's more in the realm of what you're looking for!

That is exactly what I need -- THANK YOU

Could that be Stephen King's Mist?

SK's Mist? Good one. Can't be, though -- the image is on a site named "waroftheworldsthemovie.com". It's based in England and is probably another War of the Worlds project that hopes to compete with Spielberg.
But I love how one image can evoke a whole movie -- or in this case more than one movie.
What are some of the greatest single-image campaigns ever? I remember the first Batman movie had posters that were just a close-up of the bat insignia with no words or dates or anything. Any other movies come to mind for raising expectations with just one image? Showgirls?

I believe early Matrix 2 posters showed merely the release date in the green matrixy font. And of course the Apple iPod silhouette ads are simple and brilliant (they won a Cannes "Media Lion" award amongst others).
One of my favourite ads is the one for the BMW X3 that has the screen split into four with the different seasons, and then to top that they split rotating and changed sizes but the car was always exactly the same.
