Yea, well, with only ONE really good fight scene, I was underimpressed. I found it character heavy. Which is fine and good. But, there was nothing that made me love it. I feel like this was an ok film. Confused
I thought it was better than the first one. Doc Ock is a much better villain than the goblin in my opinion. I liked the character heaviness, and I think that now they've got everything about the plot they needed to get out in SM1 and SM2 that the third movie will be a perfect balance of action and plot.

Slashdot has an interesting article on how Spiderman 2 Has Over 30 Mistakes
I dug it. Big time. I too thought it was better than the first. And come on...that stopping the train scene rocked. Granted it wasn't what I expected. I expected goofy with lots of action. What I got was intelligent drama with lots of action. But then, what do I know?

By the way, Um, welcome to the board.
"ALOT" of action? NO two set peices and one "luke warm" ending does not a movie make. X2 was better! They could have added one more subway scene and I would have been happier. Oh and now that your looking forward to movie #3 with a villian that well with a villian we may have already seen. I guess now that they can they will pull a New Line, LoTR and add some scenes and release a DVD. I dont know I just wanted alittle more action. Oh well. Confused
Umlaut, you dirty girl, you are so hard to please. :p

P.S.
I gave you an avatar which I felt best suits your girlish dispostion.
The funny thing is I LOOK LIKE THAT! Only, my braids will have to be cut off this year when I go back to school. Being an Anime character I will have to balance fighting the undead that are infesting my school, pass biology and try to get Toku to recognize me for more then just a "friend."
hehe.... Embarassed
By the way, did you check out City of Heroes? We still got some time before we can all do the Warcraft thing.
First of all that Avatar Devin is coolest thing I have ever seen. Reminds me of that Fighting Stick Figure Theatre. Anyways I need to buy a new computer if I'm gonna play. I think I will buy a PC laptop. Suggestions?
How much money you want to spend?

You can build your own monster for 1000-1500.

You can buy the best of the crap they have to offer at Best Buy for 2000-2500 and that should run any of today's games.

Or you can spend 4000-6000 on a Alienware, Falcon or Voodoo and get the best gaming PCs money can buy.
If you're looking at laptops I just bought a Toshiba P15-S479 from Best Buy around new years for $2500 with tax & 3-yr warranty and I'm really happy with it. It's got a built in TiVo, DVD burner, 60GB hard drive, 15" wide screen, and all that jazz and it can play all of today's games without breaking a sweat. Granted you have to turn some of the graphical prettyness of Far Cry off but after that it runs it with no problems. I've been really happy with my Toshiba, I've had no problems, and everybody I know who has had Toshiba laptops has loved them, I have a friend who's still using her 1997 Toshiba with absolutely no problems.

Don't buy an HP laptop or a Sony VAIO laptop. Compaq, while a division of HP, still makes a solid machine in my opinion but if you can: go for a Toshiba. That is, if you're in the laptop market.

If you want a desktop you can pick up a top of the line HP or Compaq for under $1500.

Oh, and thanks for commenting on my avatar, I can't remember where I found it but I always thought it was really cool - now I get to show it off Very Happy
